Breakfast in Bed for Mom? Tips to Deal with the Cleanup After!
This Sunday, there will be many breakfasts in bed made across the country to show appreciation for and give a little break to that special someone in your home. Mother’s Day is the perfect time to give back to all the moms who never miss a moment to care for their homes and families. Make mom’s day a little easier (and more special for her!) by taking care of the kitchen after you make her that special meal!
De-Clutter & Wipe Down The Counter
Moms LOVE getting pampered. After all, they are the ones spending their time and energy looking after everyone in their family. So a special breakfast in bed made by hers truly or dinner cooked by everyone but her is a sweet deal. Want to keep her happy through the day and waltz into bed with a smile on her face, though? Put everything away that can be put away. Then, dust the surfaces and wipe them down with a damp cloth so that there are no crumbs, food debris or stains anywhere.
Do the Dishes!
Take things a bit further and do the dishes! Believe us, she’ll be over the moon seeing an empty and clean sink! Fill up the dishwasher and turn it on (don’t forget this…you really don’t want her to wake up in the morning and see the dishwasher never ran!) or simply wash dishes by hand. After you are done, don’t forget to wipe down the sink. That clean sink feel just seals the deal!
Sweep and Mop the Floor
If she has little kids, you bet this will make the bottom of her feet sing, if that’s a thing! It is important to sweep the kitchen floor – and don’t forget to hit the corners! Try using microfiber cloths to get the job done vs. always using the mop & bucket. Microfibre cloths are good at removing germs and dirt and this keeps you from re-applying dirty water to the floor you are trying to clean when using a mop. To loosen any tougher grime – use a spray bottle with a bit of dish soap diluted in water, or a spritz of kitchen surface cleaner.
We’re sure these tips will make the mom in your life beam with joy throughout her entire day!
